Catanco Technologies / MyVisits (“Catanco Technologies/MyVisits,” “we,” or “us”)

Catanco Technologies/MyVisits is committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your Personal Information. This Privacy Policy explains the use of information collected via the Catanco Technologies/MyVisits.net website, and related applications, online services, and mobile applications provided by Catanco Technologies/MyVisits (collectively, the “Services”).

Our Terms of Service together with this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Agreement”) govern your use of the Services. The Agreement applies to any registered or non-registered patient or other user of the Services (“User”), including a doctor, therapist, or other healthcare specialist, professional, or provider using the Services in connection with a healthcare-related practice or other organization (“Service Provider”).

BY USING OR OTHERWISE ACCESSING THE SERVICES, AND/OR BY REGISTERING WITH US, YOU AGREE TO THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, YOU CANNOT USE THE SERVICES.

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 About the Privacy Policy

As further described below, we collect and maintain a range of data in order to provide Services to you and maintain safe and secure Services.

Access to your Personal Information (described below) is limited to:

  • (a) Catanco Technologies/MyVisits employees and subcontractors who help with our business operations (such as hosting our website platform, providing payment, billing or similar services, or performing anti-fraud functions); and

  • (b) Service Providers with whom you elect to share information (such as a doctor).

1.2 Effective Date and Modifications

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 07/05/2022.

This Privacy Policy may be revised or updated by Catanco Technologies/MyVisits from time to time in its sole discretion. Where appropriate, Catanco Technologies/MyVisits will provide notice to you as provided in the Terms of Service. By continuing to access or use the Services after the effective date of any such change, you agree to be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.


2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

In this Privacy Policy, the term “Personal Information” means any information that can readily be associated with a particular individual. Personal Information can include name and contact information, technical information, and health-related information known as “Protected Health Information” or “PHI.”

We collect a range of Personal Information and usage statistics to maintain a high-quality user experience and deliver superior customer service. Some information is collected directly from you, while other information is collected indirectly from website traffic, your computer hardware and Internet connection, or your activities within the Services.

2.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide

  1. If you register with any Services we offer, we may collect your username and password, contact information (such as name, email address, address, and phone number), and payment information (credit card, etc.).

  2. We also collect other information you provide to the Services and the transactions you perform (such as Account information and preferences, content, and other materials). Certain content you provide (such as image files) may contain associated metadata.

  3. We generally store communications between you and Catanco Technologies/MyVisits.

2.2 Information That Is Passively Collected

  1. We collect traffic and analytics information through the Services, including IP address, mobile device identifier, browser information, site usage information, feature usage, and other data used to monitor and improve the Services. Our Services may maintain log files containing similar information.

  2. We may collect certain types of information through “cookies,” which are described in Section 8 below.

  3. In some circumstances, we may receive information about you, including Personal Information, from third parties such as a Service Provider. This Privacy Policy governs any such combined information maintained in personally identifiable form.

2.3 HIPAA and Protected Health Information

Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”) and subsequent laws and regulations, certain health-related information received by Catanco Technologies/MyVisits may be classified as “Protected Health Information” (“PHI”).

HIPAA provides specific protections for the privacy and security of PHI and restricts how it may be used and disclosed. Notwithstanding any statements in this Privacy Policy regarding Personal Information generally, Catanco Technologies/MyVisits will only use and disclose PHI as authorized by you and/or your Service Provider(s) and as permitted by applicable law.

Before PHI is shared with a Service Provider, you may be required to affirmatively authorize Catanco Technologies/MyVisits to do so. By providing such authorization, you permit the release of your Personal Information, including PHI, to specified Service Provider(s) pursuant to HIPAA.

Authorization is voluntary; however, without authorization, Catanco Technologies/MyVisits cannot share your information with selected Service Providers.


3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use Personal Information for legitimate business purposes as allowed by applicable law, including to:

  • Provide you with the Services, including interactions with Service Providers and customer support

  • Comply with third-party contracts

  • Enable efficient access to your information after sign-in

  • Remember information to reduce repeated entry

  • Provide personalized content and marketing

  • Provide, improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of the Services

  • Develop and test new products and features

  • Monitor usage metrics and demographic patterns

  • Diagnose or fix technical problems

Use of PHI is restricted as described above.


4. SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell Personal Information to third parties without your consent. Information may be shared with the following parties:

4.1 Our Contractors

We may engage third-party companies to operate, enhance, or support the Services (such as hosting, billing, fraud prevention, registration, customer support, or email delivery). Personal Information may be shared with these providers solely to perform services on our behalf, and contractual restrictions prohibit unrelated use.

4.2 Selected Service Provider(s)

We may share Personal Information, including PHI, with selected Service Providers when authorized by you as described above.

4.3 Government, Courts, and Law Enforcement

We may access, preserve, and share information without consent when we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal process, applicable law, protect rights or property, ensure public safety, or prevent illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity.
